Matt Jenkins
High Point University professor Matt Jenkins is taking his passion for service beyond the
classroom by leading Paddling with the Profs, a 25-mile paddling journey in support of Paddling
for Pennies. A strategic communication professor and former U.S. Air Force Reserves flight engineer,
Jenkins brings a decade of military experience and a deep commitment to community impact.
Inspired by the mission of Paddling for Pennies, he saw an opportunity to unite education and
service for a meaningful cause. From March 28–29, Jenkins and fellow High Point University professors will
paddle down the Yadkin River, raising funds and awareness for those who have served.
Jenkins invites students, faculty, and the local community to support the cause—whether by
donating, spreading the word, or cheering on the paddlers as they take on this inspiring
challenge.
